We meet once a month at the Hope & Anchor in Victoria Street Grimsby, usually a Wednesday evening from 7.30 - 9.00. We have speakers on occasions and most of all we get togeather for a chat and chill out. We are an up and coming support group only recently have we gained the status of a branch of the N.A.S (National Autistic Society) We arrange plenty of things for the kids and family's alike, such as play sessions in the school holidays at the Cricketers own Wacky Warehouse, we have summer Bar-B-Q's, and are just getting on our way to having a charity ball to raise funds to cover the cost of setting up our own library. to be cont..... |

This support group originally started up at the local hospital but then left it to the parents to carry on with the running of the group. In our area, i'm afraid to say everything seems to be a battle, still to this day people in our area have never heard of Autism, never mind Asperger Syndrome, so we aim to educate people so that they can better understand others with this condition. |
